The frame is composed of a pine base, approximately 3/4 inches thick. Above the pine base is a poplar liner, approximately 9/16 inches thick. Above the liner is a polystyrene molding. The molding wrapping the circumference of the frame is poplar. Wire brads, zinc screws, polyurethane adhesives, a water-based wood adhesive, and other fasteners join the materials.
