Clark Field, beards (BenHaven archives reference no.: 4.14.1321) The note on the back of the photograph was written by Miriam Pachacki: "No writing on back. Probably summer of 1941 - Sept. because of the beards which been forbidden before then. Allowed as a 'morale builder'. Note: Did find a note on back. Ted Fisch with Lt. Christians[o]n - operations officer - dated Sept. 1941"


Miriam Pachacki, Ted Fisch's widow, provided the photograph as part of her correspondence with Al R. Young, May 2006 through October 2007. The original and accompanying correspondence are part of the Alfred R. Young papers in The BenHaven Archives.
