Clark Field, beards (BenHaven archives reference no.: 4.14.1321) The note on the back of the photograph was written by Miriam Pachacki: "No writing on back. Probably summer of 1941 - Sept. because of the beards which been forbidden before then. Allowed as a 'morale builder'. Note: Did find a note on back. Ted Fisch with Lt. Christians[o]n - operations officer - dated Sept. 1941"
