Kondo's Typescript Roster (BenHaven archives reference no.: 4.13.0050) Nine photocopied pages of a document typed by Kinichi Kondo, the interpreter assigned to Kawasaki Camp 2B. Each photocopy measures 8.5 in. x 14 in. The document contains 362 names. Nationalities include American, Australian, British, Dutch, Italian, and Norwegian.
Provenance
This online document is based on a 9-page photocopy that John W. Britton sent to Alfred R. Young on July 2, 1981. The document in John's possession was the original. He wrote to Alfred that the original was typed on rice paper. "The old roster," wrote John, "is one of Kondo's." The photocopy and correspondence are housed in The BenHaven Archives."
