Mindoro beach evacuation, no. 3 (BenHaven archives reference no.: 4.14.0288) Conference on the beach near Mindoro. Bud Morris identifies the officer in charge as Major David R. Gibbs. This seems at variance with Alfred R. Young's account of what became of Major Gibbs, corroborated by information about Major Gibbs in the list of personnel accompanying the 1942 squadron organization days commemoration at Casisang.

The photograph was taken by Sergeant Dick Bone, and appears in the history of the 19th Bomb Group available through the 19th Bomb Group Association. The image appears here as a courtesy of the Association. This digital copy is part of the Alfred R. Young papers in The BenHaven Archives.

This document is Artifact 4.14.0288 in the BenHaven Archives.
